“Road to Victory”

The 2020 Toronto Garrison Officer’s Ball, hosted by the Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada, will take place on February 8, 2020 at the Liberty Grand.

As Toronto’s premier social event for the military community and supporters, the 203rd edition of the Garrison Ball commemorates the sacrifices and achievements leading up to the 75th anniversary of the Liberation of the Netherlands and V-E Day.

Dress: Mess Dress (No. 2), Black Tie, or Long Dresses.

Did you know?

The first Officers’ Ball was held in 1817, at the British Garrison of York (Now Toronto) to celebrate the birthday of Queen Charlotte.

For over two centuries, the Garrison Ball has brought together members of Toronto’s military and business community.

Highlights of the Event include:

  • 800 guests, including nearly 500 Army Officers from the Greater Toronto Area, as well as members of the Royal Canadian Navy and Royal Canadian Air Force.

  • Distinguished guests in recent years have included the Lieutenant-Governor, Minister of National Defence, Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Canadian Army, the Mayor of Toronto, numerous foreign dignitaries and leaders of Toronto’s business community.

  • Fine dining and ambience provided by the Liberty Entertainment Group.

  • Entertainment provided by the Band and Bugles of the Queens Own Rifles of Canada.

  • Museum exhibits and displays provided by the Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada Regimental Museum and Archives, located at Casa Loma.
